What do your swing/TGU numbers look like two weeks after you get back to training? I have had good success with working hard, to the point of over-training, leading-up to a forced break so that I need the break. Treat the trip as active recovery, and then run a peaking-cycle sort of thing upon return. Usually nets me PR's in more than one exercise.
