I have many milk choices here in Wisconsin, not of them raw unfortunately. Isn't it absurd that one can't buy raw milk in America's Dairyland? I could probably "score" some if I really tried. Licensed dairy farmers can consume raw milk and some dairies around here sell shares to help people get around the laws. There are several that will deliver too.
All we ever drank as kids was whole milk. I remember going to a friends for a sleep over back in the '70s and his parents were kind of hippies. We had plain Cheerios for breakfast and his Mom only let me put on one teaspoon of sugar. To add insult to injury they had lowfat milk. It was the first time I had ever tried lowfat and I could barely choke down the cereal. I vowed never to drink lowfat again. Here I am 35 years later drinking skim, yuk.
Whole seems so thick now but I'm sure I will get used to it again. Don't I need to worry about all the fat?
