    Allright! The Smolov Base cycle is history, did day 4 /week three today.

    10 sets of 3 reps w/ 39 kg added (123 kg total). Last two sets was 2+1 (set weight down and rested for 30 seconds before last rep. Now to rest a couple of days and max out! Good times...

    Did day 2/ week 3 on monday after returning from Japan. A bit tired and had a hard time focusing (been up for 24 hours straight) A bit over weight as well but all in all the wo went good.

    5 sets of 7 reps with 24 kg added (for a total of 109,5 kg - 75% 1RM + 7,5 kg, BW 85,5 kg).

    Day 1/ week 3. 9x4 w/ 18 kg added (103) Went ok, though I didn't get a complete top-position lock-off on the very last rep. Feeling totally shattered. Probably doing day 2 tomorrow before resting (off to Japan).

    Day 4/ week 2 turned nasty and I failed for the first time on Smolov. I divided the 3s into 2s for the remaining total of reps. I've been pressing pretty hard, working 4 days in a row twice so I don't sweat not quite making it today, I got the reps in and I learn my lesson. Resting the weekend, then starting over with week 3.

    Todays work:

    3-3-3-3-3-3-2-2-2-2-2-2 @ 120 kg (36,5 kg added) Was supposed to be 10 x 3.

    Whew! Day 3 of week 2 of Smolov is history. 7 set of 5 reps w/ 30 kg added (114 kg) There was one rep w/ poor form (Nr 5 of set 5), there was some bouncing/jerking at the sticking-point where my nose is in level w/ the bar. Got out of it and locked off though. Increased rest-periods and finished up no problem. It's getting close to my limit.
