    Joint mobility in A.M.; prepared to swim, but for the car not starting, couldn't make it to the pool; knew I had to compensate later in day, which I did. (see below)

    6:00 P.M.: started with groin/leg mobility, began with 2 sets of 5 strict pullups, to pump up the lats; couple of minutes on elliptical; then to side presses;(2 sets of 4 started with 53's; even threw in 2 x 5 windmills); then right to 2 pood; 1 rep per side of really good side-presses, did this three times; felt really ...

    Took the day off, surprisingly, virtually no knee pain from yesterday's intensity; some light joint mobility in A.M.; finally contacted deep tissue/trigger point specialist, who spent an hour with me, manipulating my right shoulder and giving me spinal and neck adjustments; felt really good coming out of there, really impressed with the guy, looking forward to coming back; best news of the day: he took my bp and it was 120/60, lowest it's ever been; attribute that to kb's and joint mobility, am ...

    A.M.; Joint mobility, even added some yoga groin stretches, quads and groin are starting to open up; couple of minutes on the elliptical to break a sweat, then 2 to 3 sets of 5 with the 2 pood, one-arm squats, weakness in right shoulder stabilizer muscles, so I have to support the 2 pood with the left hand, and vice versa; but went down to touch butt to step, felt good and strong; guard attacks with the 53's, getting form down.

    5:00 P.M.: couple of minutes on elliptical; then guard ...

    A.M.: Joint mobility, went through entire routine because it's saturday; then to windmills (2 x 5) with the 53's; double mp's with the 53's, five sets of 4 to 5 reps; can still see weakness in right shoulder, but I know I'm doing these right. Then fifteen hard minutes on the elliptical. Breakfast after that.

    11:00 A.M.; after breakfast, hit the boxing gym; almost immediately noticed a surge in power in all activities, beginning with shadow-boxing; then for grins, started interspersing ...

  5. Training Log: December 2nd, 2004

    A.M.: joint mobility; then off to the YMCA pool for 35 continuous minutes of lap swimming;

    P.M.: Floor presses (first started with alternate, then went with double, once I got used to the form, it felt good did 3 sets of 5 with the 53's; then did one set of 2 with the 70's; these were super-setted with double-rows with the 53's; then TGU's, 2 sets each side with the 36, then 2 sets each side with the 53; again, once the form is down, the confidence goes up. Then did some guard sit-ups ...
