Box Jumps 3 sets of 20
Punching Heavy Bag 3 sets of 20
One-Legged Box Jumps 2 sets of 6
I was going to do chins and power cleans but I felt burned out. Gymnastics started on Monday and twice this week I thought about reducing the volume but decided to power through it (the first time was doing 10 vs. 20 squats with the heavy bag, the second was pushing the dumbbells).
After hitting the heavy bag I finally nailed the right-legged hop onto a barrier outside the gym, took a bunch of tries, but by the end I was doing it with just one-step and jump. I've been debating whether to do higher reps or lower reps, with a higher difficulty, for my plyo workouts. I came to the gym and I had no idea what would qualify as a high-intensity plyo. These ended up being perfect, a lot of fun and very explosive vs. kind of sloppy for the high-rep jumps I started with (also these are similar to the competitions I did when I was a camp counselor, fun stuff!).
