    Pressing the 32kg bell has become a regular occurrence. Just pressed it 2x on the right, and 1x on the left.

    It's great to see that strength go up!

  2. VWC - Progress

    After finishing 80 sets of 8 with the 16kg, and sticking with it for a bit, I decided to venture into the land of the 'heavier'.

    It's been an eye opener. The rate of progress is there, it just isn't as fast as the 12kg or the 16kg was. It may be that with the 20kg, I'm riding closer to my limit and progress is going to take a slower path.

    Just glad there's progress!

    This will be the 6th week of VWC (about to head into a recovery week) and I am looking forward ...

  3. Just Pressed a Personal Best

    32kg went up like a 16kg on the right side

    Failed on the left.

    Tried again 10 minutes later.

    Right went up,

    Then the left, with a LOT of effort, grimacing and some twisting, eventually went up.

    PTTP! and VWC. Sweet.

  4. PTTP Produces PR

    Just 6 weeks back into using the protocol (after a few months break trying other systems) and I PR on the shoulder press. My body weight hasn't changed a bit so it's really interesting understanding that this strength is not a change in size, but a change in skill.

    It's not a huge weight, but for me, trying to get anything to trend up with the overhead press has been close to joke-worthy.

    145 lbs in the air!

    And in other news, my deadlift is coming back up. ...
