After creating a buzz during the T20 Vitality Blast 2019, Pakistan batsman Babar Azam will return to Pakistan and play for his team. Azam played for Somerset during the T20 Blast and scored impressive runs during his 13 match stint.

  • He was the highest scorer for the ICC U19 World Cup. The skipper scored 298 runs with a 75 against a match with Afghanistan.

‘ I definitely feel like there is more to come from me in first-class and Test cricket,” Babar said in an interview published by the Somerset website. "I have done okay in the white-ball game recently, but I really want to prove myself in Test cricket, so I will be doing my best to achieve my goals in this format.’


Just recently, Azam was named captain of Central Punjab team. He will lead the team for the domestic season 2019-2020. Azam is ranked as the best batsman in the world in the T20 format.
