  1. I have an idea

    by , 03-12-2009 at 06:29 PM
I reached 470 lbs in my PTTP deadlift cycle and I did it for 3 hard reps and failing on the fourth rep. The idea I have is this: I will drop the weight to about 445-450 lbs on the next workout and work back up from there. Hopefully, I can go past 470 lbs using this. I'm just taking cue from my side press cycle, where I'm doing a 4-steps-forward-3-steps-back cycle and presently on 65 lbs and attempting 70 lbs tommorow, moving way past a 50 lbs plateau that I had in my side press for quite some ti ...

Just an update on my progress. I went past 50 lbs on my side press and I am going to attempt 65 lbs tommorow. W.r.t the deadlift, I'm going to attempt 455 lbs tommorow, and hopefully by the end of the week, I will be lifting over 470 lbs.

  3. New deadlift cycle

    by , 02-12-2009 at 10:44 AM
Started new PTTP DL cycle yesterday @ 380 lbs. My target is to go past 470 lbs and see how close I can get past 500 lbs. If I make it and beyond, gr8, if not, no biggie. Anyways, with regards to my side press, still doing my cycle, using the 4-steps-forward-3-steps-back format. Should make it past 50 lbs this time

  4. Improvement

    by , 02-06-2009 at 04:26 AM
Hey, I improved in my deadlift. I finished my DL cycle yesterday @ 470 lbs. A 35 lb improvement. 130 more lbs to go before I reach my target. Hope to reach it before the end of this year, if not surpass it. Joined a new gym on Monday, a gym which doesn't have restrictions like the last one and has a lot more floor space. Started back the barbell side press yesterday @ 30 lbs. Let's see if the 50 lb plateau can be busted.

  5. First Kettlebell

    by , 01-14-2009 at 09:45 AM
I got my first kettlebell yesterday. It's an Ader Kettlebell, feels nice on the hands. Feels heavier than I thought it will be, but I can press it comfortably. Can't wait to get de-sissified.
