  1. Adding Swings and TGUs to CC

    by , 01-16-2013 at 09:24 AM (ithink2020's Blog)
I've been doing CC for a while now and I decided I wanted to add in swings as a fat burning.

Monday I did Workout #1 from Mastering the Hardstyle Kettlebell Swing DVD. Here is what I've noticed so far.

    1. Hamstrings will need a day to recover, at least for now. Although they felt fine yesterday morning, by the afternoon I could feel them. This morning, I could still feel them, but not sore.

    2. Hello Lats! When I went to do my horizontal pulls for ...

  2. Cc really works!!!

    by , 01-15-2013 at 05:07 AM (ithink2020's Blog)
I've not been on here for a while, but wanted to give an update.

I started doing CC back in May 2012. I was doing for a while, then stopped for doing the Maffetone Method for my running for a bit. I started back up with CC1 (incline Pushups, Flat Knee Raises, Horizontal Pulls and Jackknife squats) & CC2 (Horizontal Hang, Wall Fingertip Pushups and the Trifecta) on Oct 15. I've done CC every other day since then. Since I don't have a treadmill, for cardio, I've just been doing ...

  3. Kettlebells Revisted

I was looking to add Kettlebells in addition to my CC work months ago. However, I got side tracked with CC and focused on running for a while.

I've been on CC and have been using jump rope and running as my cardio. However, my knees and feet are not liking all the pounding. So in search of another cardio workout, I again found Kettlebells. This time, I sticking with them!

I ordered a 16kg bell and the DVD "Mastering the Hardstyle Kettlebell Swing". ...

  4. Calculate Your Baseline

    Calculate Your Baseline
*This is how I do it, it doesn't mean that it is the only way.

I feel when you move from one standard to another (like when moving from the Intermediate Standard towards the Progression Standard) OR when you move to a harder Step, you should preform as many reps as you can of each set, up to the standard's set rep count. This is to give you a baseline.

For example, in the first week of the new Standard, do as much as you can. If the standard ...
  5. CC, Swings and Get Ups

    by , 06-19-2012 at 11:04 AM (ithink2020's Blog)
My mother-in-law loaned me a kettlebell that they were not using, so I was able to "practice" some Swings and Get Ups last night.

I have a lot of work to do on the Swings, just going to take it slow and not hurt myself. Ended up only doing 2 sets of about 5. Going to start doing one rep at a time, that way I reset after each rep. Until I can get better at these things.

As for the TGUs, WOW, it is amazing how much heavier the bell feels! The bell I have ...
