  1. 3/17/09 Tuesday light day

    MP 5 x (1,2,3) very little rest between rungs or sets, some soreness from yesterday, so I backed off a little toward the end, but still pretty brisk pace.

    Snatches, dice roll: 8 minutes
    4L/4R on the minute
    Total reps: 72 (squeezed one extra set in towards the end).

    Really happy to hit my numbers with snatches! Granted, I need to do it in 5 minutes, not 8, but still, knowing I have the work capacity now to do that many 24kg snatches is huge for me. Most ...

    Had some time at home, so just for fun I did GTG w/ c & P w/ the 32. 1L/1R on the hour for the first several, then they started getting compacted further for time reasons. Ended up doing a total of 6 sets; tried a 7th but it wasn't going up so I quit. Not bad, but also told me that there was no point in testing these again just yet. Maybe in another week or so for fun...but I'd like to get more practice in this way, and start using the 32 for TGU and cleans.

    Snatches w/24 (w/24 from now on unless otherwise specified).

    dice roll was 10 minutes, but decided to call it a day a little after 5 min. Was fatigued from lesson, and didn't feel like I was fully able to practice the points I was taught this afternoon in the snatches. So rather than undo all the good muscle memory I worked on, I did enough to keep the practice happening and stopped there. ...
