Rest of the week is back off after completing the clean/press/front squat program. Will probably test snatch/jerks this weekend.

Plan for 2007 is to give GS an honest go of it, which I haven't done to date. Plan from now till mid-March when I go to Fed's cert is work on time w/ 24s, supplemented w/ 32+ work, general aerobic work and squatting. Between the cert and Nationals, focus on competing w/ the 24s.

After that, just have fun w/ training. Kayaking, biking, KB's. Will do any XC meet's and a sprint tri or two in the fall.

The basis for the next period will be something I think Garm said a while back. That GS is more like a 5K or 10K run than weightlifting. Consequently, I have an 8 week 10K program that is designed to get a newbie across the finish line. So 1 mile in that program will become a 2 min jerk set or a 1 min R/1 min L snatch set. Doubling the number like that should culminate in 8 min training sets several times the last week. This will be supplemented w/ heavy swings, snatches and things like high volume jerk sets w/ the 32s. Just as an experiment.
