John Beamon, HKC - the first years

    Press: 2x3 squat press ea
    Pullups: 4-rung at top of the minute[/B]

    This ancient, beautiful Turkish drill is kicking my butt! I lost exact count, but that was at least 5 sets of 2ea. Knees behaved pretty well, but not 100%. Limiting the squat depth helped. Need focus on left presses. Pullups went great. I usually do longest rung first, but this standard 4-rung could maybe have been a rung longer. ...

    C&P: 2x (3-rung + 3 pullups)
    Snatch: 3x (5/5 + 2 pullups)[/B]

    I love get-ups, but my left wrist is struggling with 2 consecutive reps. Also still feel like I'm prying up with my elbow instead of rolling onto it. Not smooth yet. Snatches went well, but my grip will be an issue. I don't have the hooks to "catch" on the way down, so there's a lot of friction.

    [I] Pullups: 4+3+3/:30[/I][/INDENT]Presses felt good. I actually pressed 20kg right-handed at Z therapy Wednesday night. Left arm responds well to eyes up instead of forward. Get-ups felt really good. Minimizing squats for knee crepitus.

    01/18 Workout
    TGU: 10min, 2 ea side alt .
    CP: 4x2 .
    Pullups: rev 4-rung/:30 .
    Snatches: 2x5 ea .. (fits into :30/:30 for me)

    01/19 Workout
    Pullups: 2/:20 ..... (10 in 1:40!!)
    Swings: 18 x 12min ...... Grip not safe at speed

    [I]Monday's 5/5 snatches fit into :30/:30 for me fairly well. Tuesday's pullups were not much easier because of mount and dismount, but I finished 10 in 1:40. Try 4/3/3 at :30 next. ...

    A few days post-HKC, I've been stiff and a little cramped. Did get-ups and stretches for three days. Committed to using 16kg. The difference between 12 and 16 still catches me unawares.

    3x 5min alt TGU
    CP: 2x3-rung
    Pullups: rev 4-rung at :00
    Goblet Squats: 2x3

    CP: 1x3-rung
    Pullups: 2x3 at :00
    Swings: 12/min x 15min, about 25% 1H
