Default Kettlebell Warrior Workshop, June 20, 2009 - New England

    Comrades,

I will be unveiling Level 1 of my Kettlebell Warrior workshop at Modern Self Defense in Middletown, CT this summer - June 20, 2009.

This will be my first PUBLIC workshop where I'll be demonstrating and teaching some of what's going to be coming out in my soon-to-be-released Kettlebell Warrior project.

We'll be covering Functional Movement patterning, Hard Style training concepts, time-efficient training methods, injury-proofing, and PLENTY of combat applications. Don't think you're just going to be swinging KBs, and don't think you're coming for a martial arts lesson. This is the real deal and the full package!

We've kept the enrollment cap fairly low, and this is the first public announcement of this workshop.

We opened the registration on 3/23 for people who are affiliated with the hosting organization and to RKCs. Public registration doesn't open until open until Monday, but I've spoken with the organizer to allow the Dragon Door forum members (yes, even those of you who aren't yet RKCs) to register prior to the 4/13 opening date.

Get your registration check or Paypal payment in to Chris before the available spaces run out!

Dr. Cheng, this workshop doesn't apply to me as I no longer fight. I certainly don't want to take a spot which a more deserving person could occupy. It looks great.

I would, however like to stop by and say hello if that's okay.

Middletown is about 20 minutes away from me. Hope to see you in June and good luck.

This is a great idea. How about showing some love for the brothers in the Mid Atlantic, aka Northern Va/DC Metro? We are dying for something like this.

Com. Bill, there's going to be PLENTY of information doled out that is NOT fighter specific, so PLEASE do come and participate. The combat applications, while still a vital part of what we're doing, are just PART of what I'm going to cover. It'd be a pleasure and honor to meet you in person finally.

Com. Dr., be careful what you wish for! Please keep your eyes peeled on this forum in the coming days. I'll be looking forward to meeting you in person too!

    Phone call made, email sent.

Perhaps I'll be useful as a training dummy.

Bill you will NOT regret attending anything Doc does. I live almost 100 miles away from Santa Monica,CA and I consider myself lucky to be able to get up at 5 AM and drive to his 7 Am sunday morning classes when I can( however not nearly as much as I would like to).

Now come to think of it, Doc are you going to be doing anything like this in LA anytime soon?

Of this, I have no doubt. My only concern is that I take the spot of someone who could benefit more from what appears to be a martial/tactical seminar.

But, if the good Doctor says to sign up, I'll do it.

Just spoke with Chris from Modern Self-Defense. Check's in the mail. See you in June Dr. Cheng.
    Very exciting.

Com. Dak Ink, I had better say no more.

Suffice it to say that the KBLA crew of RKCs will not disappoint!
