In the latest issue of Pavel's newsletter there is a reference to
"Anatoly Zhabotinsky" . The information was quite good except for the name. It's much better to get your names right. The Zhabotinsky referred to is Leonid I. Zhabotinsky. Getting the names wrong reduces the power of the information you are trying to convey. If you can't get the names right what else is off? I also doubt that Pavel even proof read the newsletter.
Well spotted and hats off to you for your knowledge. Not entirely sure your vociferous indignation is necessary though, after all, the article wasn't biographical but technical. Whilst undoubtedly annoying for the archivists, mis-quoting a name should hardly detract from the quality of the training tips. As such I feel your almost panicky 'what else' question is inappropriate.
Chill out. Pavel knows his stuff...maybe not exact names...who cares it works.

Don't you think it's a little silly to assail someone who is giving you free information? I think that says more about you than you realize, and possibly presents you to the rest of the forum in a light you wouldn't want to be seen in.

DonP, if you had titled your post "Newsletter Clarification" instead of "Complaint" and couched it in terms of just correcting a factual oversight for everyone's benefit, it would be taken in a much more accepting spirit and people would be thanking you for bringing it to our attention.
