Nice piece, Sean. The only kinda negative thing I'd say is you make one arm swings and TGUs with the 32 and 40 sound almost reasonable. They're not.

The thing I take most from your article is patience. I chased numbers for awhile, and I'm feeling it now, so my next push will be a little slower.

And you are wrong - 240 snatches for the SSST is mutant work! Congrats.

This month marks 1 year on ETK for me. Alot of this time I was more into shoulder re-hab than reaching my pressing or snatching goals..however, I have lost considerable amt of BF and am encouraged by this...Once I am on track with my pressing again..and am making good progress with presses...I want to re-start my snatching..which I have have on hold until my pressing strength increases..and have no shoulder issues..Reading your post is encouraging and inspirational as I do plan getting back to snatching...and getting those numbers up....a very good post!!...Dennis

This is great timing. Tomorrow I'll be hitting 200 snatches in 10 minutes for the first time and was wondering how to bump that up a bit higher after that. I'll let you know how it turns out. thanks!

And there you have it: train with a heavier bell and the 24 kilo will be an easier thing to snatch. Been training this way, and am surprised at the amount of people who think that higher numbers can be reached by training hard with a smaller bell.

So your article said, for men do ...., but there was never a section that said for women?
Maybe you could expand on that.

thanks everyone!

Josh-one thing i forgot to mention in there is to do some snatches with the 32 every once in awhile when you're in phase II, maybe like 5x10/10 once every week or two.

Re: for lady comrades, I will put the corresponding size bells in there hopefully over the weekend. same program, different sized bells. stay tuned

Thanks. I've been doing exactly that and am excited to start seeing the results. It's amazing how quickly the 24kg starts feeling light. And it always, always felt heavy before I went to the 32. Even when I could knock out 130 snatches in 5 minutes, it was always heavy.

Good times ahead.
Josh
