Default my 8 y/o daughter sumo DL'd my 32k last week

Will try to get a video soon. She weighs 50 pounds soaking wet, but tough as nails. She had great form, back straight, butt back, hip drive. Of course, she's not all that tall so the handle on my 32k comes up near her knees, but still. I'm a proud dad.

You should see her bend a piece of aluminum foil rolled up like a nail. She makes faces like I do bending a IM Blue or a 60D galv. Hilarious!

    ScottA out...

I think the positive example and supervised kb use for kids is fantastic! Childhood obesity and diabetes is what is scary. My three kids aged 11, 8, and 7 were taking turns swinging their moms 15lb while dad was doing swings and getups with the 44. Just make sure they keep their back strait!! In my opinion we are giving our kids the gift of good health for life!! Keep swingin!!

Despite the nay sayers, I know what you all mean. My little 3 year old lad also deadlifted the 16kg bell in my garage gym. He wanted t show daddy his 'muscles'. Good form as well! Back straight, body over the weight - sumo style! He grunted and groaned as that KB went up...the look of pride on his little face when he completed the lift....RAW as well (yup, no belt, no straps...not even chalk!) :-) One proud daddy.

Good to know I am not the only parent out there subjecting my child to hard labor .

I like what you said about the look of pride on your son's face. I think anything we can do to help them be physical and simultaneously boost their self esteem is a big step toward building character.

Isaac loves coming to the gym with me, and I hope it always stays that way!
