    Default Bad Pop, from TGUs

So I was at the gym about 30 minutes ago finishing my TGUs for the PM with a 45 lb bell and on the next to last rep as I was rolling onto my side to start the get up I had a pop in my upper T, lower C spine. I immediately stopped. The area is getting stiff but for now I still have normal mobility in my neck but of my shoulders move forward at all it starts to hurt. Hopefully whatever it was is just transient and I will be ok in the morning but I have already scheduled to see my chiro in the morning. I did a lot of T-spine stretching today and my lower lats were sore from tuesday.

    Well any advice welcome.

Well I can cross my arms in front of my chest without pain. It just seems that any rounding of my upper back causes pain. I have never felt like I was sitting up straighter in my life.

I just hope this doesn't interfere with my workouts

See the doc in the morning - good. Stay mobile, and do not move in a manner which can cause more pain. First mistake I made when I hurt my back was that I kept on my back on the floor and stayed immobile. I thought it was just a minor thing...boy was I wrong! Do not resume lifting until you find out what happened and can correct it. If you can walk without pain than do that. Now this could interefere with your workouts - then think of physical therapy as your workout - if thats what your doc has you do...take it easy...Dennis

Sleep sucked last night, I am sore and stiff as hell now. Going to the doctor in a couple minutes.

I wanted to clarify too that the TGU didn't injure me, me doing something I should have known better during the TGU did. I was tired and got half way up to my shoulder at the beginning and stopped and instead of going back down and resting I tried to add some oomph to get up and lead with my head kind of funny and had the pop.
