Default Tuck in stomach or not?

In convict conditioning, paul wade recommends you tuck in your stomach during hanging leg raises. According to pavel you aren't supposed to? What's everyone think about this?

Tucking in on leg raises is fine because you are not loading the spine. Tucking in on leg raise causes your pelvis to start to tilt and you will need that to do full range leg lifts, in my case a least. I could not do them brascing my abs because this locks the pelvis.
