    Default First 100 Snatches w/ 24K

So last night I managed to get 100 snatches approx 9.5 minutes. Did 10 each arm (which took about a minute), then I rested for one minute & repeated until I hit 100. Still a long way to go before I'm a man, but it felt like a decent milestone.

My forearms felt like they were going to explode after I got done! My grip apparently isn’t too great, so I was having issues holding on to that sucker towards the end. Today my traps are a bit sore, but otherwise I feel good.

The ROP is really working =)

    Hello, danfaz:

Very nice work. 100 Hardstyle snatches in 10 minutes is still a test any way you want to slice it. Do not diminish this accomplishment.

I will correct you, comrade: yours is a benchmark that should be noted and logged. You will cherish this "decent milestone" as you read and look back upon the moment in your sixtieth year.

    Regards,
    Peter.

    Default It's all relative!

Awesome milestone....congrats! You have to remember that your accomplishments are relative to you - compare yourself to yourself, not to someone else or some arbitrary standard.....sounds like the 100 snatches was an all-time record for you. Now try to outdo yourself!

I am not yet where you are....when I hit that milestone I will be stoked!

    Good job....

Just because your forearms are hurting doesn't mean your grip is weak. It could that that you are using too much arm in the snatch and no enough hip. Can't know without seeing. If you have a body part that is not doing its job, it is not going to hurt because it is not being exerted.

Hey, thanks guys! I am happy with my progress...but am guilty of comparing myself to others as mentioned. I'll try not to do that

    Really do appreciate the comments!

Default Just a little progess update

    Long time no post!

This week I managed to do 100 snatches in 5.5 minutes. I did 50 (alternating 10 each arm) in 2.5 minutes, rested for 30 seconds, then did another 50 in 2.5 minutes. It seriously smoked me!

Hoping to get to the point where I can do 100 without a break, but man it seems like a long way off!
