Default 1/2 BW Stacked Press - One Year ROP

    Hey gang,

This month is my one year anniversary starting the ROP. Decided to try the 1/2 BW press. I weighed 169 this afternoon. Stacked a 24 and a 16 for 40kg total.

My left arm took no fewer than three attempts! It was ugly, but what the hell, it was an all or nothing moment.

Now, off to sell my crappy bells and get some good ones!

This is sick. I think I'm capable of 1/2 bw press but I'm tight with money. Can't wait to get my 32kg and start working with it.

    Good job.

Excellent work danfaz!!...that's 52% of bodyweight if I calculate right. Stacked press is harder too than straight KB weight.

Not for me. with the stacked press the center of mass of the bell is higher than the KB military. It's like starting the straight kb press at my chin. Grip is tougher for sure on stacked presses. It's one of my favorites.

    Thanks for the comments, guys!

Regarding the stack, I had a hard time keeping the two bells from slipping around (and mangled my hand once). Am curious to see how I would manage a 40K bell??

Perhaps I'll get one if I can sell my other bells.
