This is a very good bit of writing, and SO Paul wade!!

"I'm not talking about high rep crunches or jumping jacks, either. I mean the kind of stuff convicts still do to get into peak shape. Brutal, punishing calisthenics that will quickly ramp up strength, increase muscle mass, improve co-ordination, thicken the tendons and ligaments, and focus the mind while generating willpower. In other words, the kind of training that would send most modern bodybuilders running to the hills."

I swear, in my head this guy sounds like Mick out of the Rocky movies!!!

I wanna go do push ups right now!! Yeah!

It's exciting to see some new words from Paul Wade, with more on the way it appears. Us CC'ers do some of the alternative to wieghts movements just in the following the book which is cool. Included is the dreaded horizontal pulls! I often wondered about the value of keeping them in my training in some capacity despite passing that step. Reading this article cements keeping them in for me, even though they ate at my very soul for months.

The conspiracies continue to grow which in my opinion furthurs the CC experience. Getting results from a great book while reading the detractors posts that you can't get results...... while reading that CC is actually ghost written by John Ducane....and Pavel....and each member of the U.N. security council.....and a gelatenus amoeba spawned from Genghis Khan's DNA.....what's better than this?!

Thanks Henry for the article, and Mr Ducane for bringing the book to the limelight.

    Cheers

Conclusive proof of ghostwriting can be seen in the fact that "consolidation training" seems to somewhat resemble GTG. Sort of how the Ab Pavelizer involves forward flexion of the spine similar to the movement executed while using the Ab Scissor.

Pavel is both Paul Wade and Body by Jake.

In my opinion from reading both books, Consolidation Training is VERY different from GTG. In CT, you just do a few moderate reps of a hard exercise, frequently, until you get used to the SKILL, then regular CC takes over. GTG is a method that can be used (with varying success, IMHO for any rep range, any exercise, permanently). Very different; besides, according to Pavel he didn't invent the method anyway.

It confuses me that half the guys on this forum think Paul Wade ripped off Pavel, the other half don't really "get" CC becuase, they day, it's too different from Hardstyle!

Even if there weren't so many contradictions between CC and most of Pavel's books, the fact that some idea resembling GTG is included in the book would certainly not be conclusive proof.

And I really don't understand this perpetual bombardment of theories regarding Paul Wade and if he's a real person or not, or who actually wrote CC. The book is awesome and we should spend more time discussing the program and techniques and becoming BEASTS.

    Anyway, just my two cents.

I agree completely. I find this entire angle of the conversation boring and utterly played out. Can we agree on a moratorium on speculations viz Paul Wade's identity? Please?!?

Old-Time Lifting is gone! Does anybody have the articles? Maybe they're posted somewhere on DragonDoor? Specifically, I'm looking for The Dirty Dozen by Paul Wade.

The Internet Archive comes to the rescue. Too bad about the lack of pictures but its amazing how much can be found with a search at archive.org
