    I keep my form strict all the way to failure. I've never trained to failure before, but I'm consistantly advancing.

    The metronome lets you know if you are going too slow as well. Maybe the wall pushups have been tougher because of a slower than 2sec rep cadence. While there will be physical benefit it might be holding a person back from advancing. Good luck!
