    Default Korte 3x3 Anyone?

I have been making good gains on the Wendler 5/3/1 program for close to two years now, but would like to try out a more peaking-style approach, especially for my bench press which seems to be stalling and/or rather inconsistent lately. The idea is to do someting radically different for a short period of time and add some pounds to all my maxes.

I have read good things about the Korte 3X3 program and would like to try it out in the near future. However, the first four weeks of the program have you working with very light weights (even considering the increased volume and the fact that you train all lifts three times a week), then you are supposed to suddenly push the envelope in weeks 5-8. For the bench press specifically, I would be going from doing sets at below 210-220 to maxing out at over 300 lbs. Naturally I am a bit wary of this.

What I am interested in are experiences of people who have done the program in the past - did you gain or lose strength, what adjustments did you have to make and how did you handle the transition from Phase I to Phase II. Essentially, was it worth your time?

The Smolov bench program is another option I am considering. How do the two compare?

    Thanks in advance.
