Just saw this on another thread http://www.nofearfitness.com/article...-challenge.php. 10,000 swings in a month would definitely do the job in terms of prep, assuming it didn't kill you!

    See you there buddy! Hopefully!

My training has totally derailed! I set up for a swing workout with the 28kg, was planning on doing 30 secs on and 30 off for half an hour. Less then ten minutes in my back pain stops me. I am so frustrated with this I can not tell you!

I have narrowed it down to a problem with the QL. It gets inflamed very easy. I am trying to set up a movement assessment with mc Schrafael asap. Hopefully she will have some answers for me.

I am worried for you, Future. Stay safe, and push for a delay if needed. Don't blow your back! And I know you know this.

There is an RKC in every surgeon (like me, as a random example).

    Thanks Ram!

I am hopeful that mc will have some answers and a fix. If not a transfer to the next nearby RKC may be necassary.

It's a great series of workout plan, Any idea how many reps does one need to do of each and every exercise.

Adam if you are talking about brett jones rkc program read it again. Future I was reading an article last night about John Broz on T- nation last night he has theory that pain just floats arounds the body and your body is going to hurt any way and that you should still train. Im not sure about it myself but it is interesting for somebody to say this.

Well certain movement patterns really fire it up, for instance doing windmills is totally out, it inflames the pain worse then any other exercise or movement.

So clearly there is something wrong.

I am doing lots of side planks and side bends to strengthen the QL, I figure this is the muscle that that has the problem, so my solution, get that muscle strong and flexible, is this the right thing to do, I don't know, I guess time will tell.

As for the shoulder, I am guessing the rotator cuffs need strengthening.
