    Question No reply

Twice in the past couple of months I've tried to contact RKCs with the information posted on their profiles here, (i.e., at DragonDoor.com), to set up a session so I can get my form and technique evaluated. Everyone's always saying that you can study books with illustrations and watch DVDs all you want but there's nothing like training with an RKC. And I agree.

So I've attempted to contact two prominent RKCs in the NYC area over the past 7 weeks and got no reply at all. To clarify, I tried to contact the first guy and got no reply. After about 6 weeks or so I decided to try someone else and he hasn't responded either.

Has anyone else had problems contacting RKCs through the contact info given on their profile pages here?

Same thing for me. I sent emails to all of them in my area. Only one did actually reply. That was a lot of years ago however. Worth getting in touch though. Changed everything. Books and videos alone didn't cut it for me.

OK. Thanks, Pat. I'm going to keep trying.

Did my RKC with a guy from New York named Steven Goldbach. He trains at precision athlete with a couple of other RKC's and maybe an RKC II. Can't comment on the gym but hope this helps.

Thanks, PK. I e-mailed Phil Ross, (he's in NJ and not too far from me), and he got back to me within an hour. He also does the FMS screen, which I'm looking for, so I'm good to go.

Good call. Phil was a team leader at my RKC and seems like he knows his gear.

Like with all businesses not all conduct themselves well.

While he may not be local Phil is a smart cat and been around for a long time. He's got a wealth of experience. Could do a lot worse.

Thanks to Pk and Andrew and all who replied. I have an FMS screen scheduled with Phil for tomorrow and 11:00am so I'm happy now. Starting Geoff Neupert's Kettlebell Burn 2.0 on Sept. 5, (16 weeks: it'll take me through the rest of the year), and I want to correct any imbalances and make sure my form is good. Then, after a short new years celebration, I'm going to start the ROP again and build up my strength back up so I can press the 32s again!

    Why limit yourself to USA?

I know a certain Australian Team Leader who will soon if not already have the ability to do programing/coaching online. He may also be able to evaluate your technique via the wonderful world wide web too...
