    Default PR

    Comrades!
Today i surprised myself with 80kgx1 and 82,5kgx1 in the barbell overhead press!
My old PR was 70x2 and 40x3 in the one arm kb press and i weigh between 80 to 82 kg.
I´m really happy with this, considering i run around with a torn calf since two weeks and had a sorta exhausting SERE training this week. Great!

Outstanding work Reinhardt! Well done! Do you feel the one arm kb press helps the barbell overhead press at all (or vice versa for that matter), or are they too different from each other?

I looked up SERE training, sounds really tough, especially with a torn calf! Take care of that injury and treat yourself to something good!

Good stuff! A bodyweight overhead press is a huge milestone for anyone.

    Thank you comrades!
Jason, yes, i think there´s a good deal of carry over between the two. In fact, during the last months, i had two sessions of barbell pressing, once 60x3/3 and once 55x5/5.
For the torn calf, the doc says a couple of weeks of plain good rest will do the trick. Hopefully he´s right.
