Default 76 kg Clean & Press: Closing in on a Bodyweight Press

Hey guys, some more progress this week. I finished up 3x1,2,3 with 72 kg today and thought "why not try 76 for a single?" I have not been able to press my 44, but wondered if that was just because I've been doing doubles exclusively for the last 10 months. Strangely enough, I tried it with my 32, and it-just-barely-went-up!

Yes, the press is ugly (I'm fatigued and cocking my hips under the 44), but I'm happy with this little PR.

Impressive. You're only 2kg more massive than me (1.67m, 76kg), and I'm nowhere near that. I'm doubly impressed with the 44kg-32kg uneven press. That is damned awkward. I was expecting to see 40kg-36kg instead.

What exactly are you standing on? It looks like you're lifting in a sandbox.

You were correct, Al. Strange how it just starts really building up steam.

Yes, that's my little sandbox. Feels great to lift barefoot in the sand. I also made that so when I lift heavier weights, I can just dump them. And yep, the 44/32 combo was awkward. In ROTK, I use four, sometimes eight kilo asymmetrical loads, so 12 was work for sure!
