Arrow Easy strength -review test and reassess of the 40day protocol

Have just wrapped up a three part series on easy strength - trialing out one protocol in Dan and Pavel's new book. Literally, taking easy strength on the road

part 1: what would the moves be and why
part 2: measuring prorgress over the course
part 3: results, next steps and take aways.

    hope you'll enjoy

    Interesting pieces, as always.

Fwiw, I find it much easier to press a 20 than BUP a 16. I could even press a 32 before I could BUP a 24. And my grooves are similar, but not the same; I feel like that is due to the flatter wrist in the regular press. Guess I have some work to do.

Big fan of the 40 day program, will be doing another 40 days soon. Just started to dissect the book last night.

I'm probably 50% bigger than you (I weigh 85K), maybe that helps more with the heavier weight on the regular press for me. For me, the hardest part of BUP work is hitting the right clean/rack position where my grip is ok. If I hit the clean, I can usually do the press fine.

I remember listening the Gray Cook on one of the Kettlebell Secrets calls, and he said you shouldn't be doing ladders with a kb that you can't BU clean. That was news to me. I finished the 5 rungs/ladders with the 28, but still can't hit the BU clean. Might be why I stalled out on the ladders with the 32

Maybe all of that should be telling me something.

i'm 57kg so 30% not 50!. and ain't that the word about the press. I don't recall Cook saying that - and i listened to those calls. hmm indeed.
i just looked at my logs for the last time i was able to press a 20 with no shoulder issues. There was a month between my second and third singles (like wow). so given all this BU goodness, maybe i'll just keep working that BU.
I'm also gonna give more serious attention to my non-dominant side. It's not like i only have one arm to get this 24...
here's one other biggie about this process: i couldn't press a bell cuz i didn't have one. So i kinda let go of it, and good things happen. maybe that's the Way for me to go too. Best with you plateua busting.
Again, thanks for sharing and all the best with your own press quest.
