Default Russian Reds — Please bring them back!

Dear Mr. Du Cane and Mr. Tsatsouline,

I realize that Russian Reds are not completely gone. I know that you still have 32kg RR bells in inventory that you're selling off. I asked someone on your staff several months back about them and was told that the Russian Reds were discontinued several years ago and the 32s are all that you have left.

I'd have liked a partner for the 24kg RR I have. And although you never carried them, I was hoping that you'd do a 20kg RR bell. I'd have bought a pair of those as well.

I like the thicker handle on them and the red color as well. I'm in the last weeks of Kettlebell Burn and using my 24kg RR for all the exercises. My grip strength has greatly improved by using this bell for all the snatches I've been doing.

So was it financial? Lack of demand? Here's my vote for bringing them back again. If you do, don't forget the 20kg size! Thanks.

    Regards,
    Peter

No, I believe there was a lot of demand and they made a killing.

Some people like them (Phil Davis, for one). A lot of people didn't. I have a couple of RR and none of my clients prefer them. Also, the red coating wasn't horrible, but didn't hold up that great.

Actually, mine's in perfect condition. But then I'm only using it as a single so no click-clacking with other bells.

I am using 2 kb at once, and I don't click-clack them either. I think they are not supposed to be banged against each other. Unless they were made of titanium, there is no possible coating that can resist to such a collision, or slamming them against concrete, etc, or it is just my fear of damaging such nice objects

If you shouldn't have to fear dropping your kettle bells....
