Default Seriously this guy is a major idiot for what he wrote...

This guy Frank has zero idea as to what he is saying http://www.frankspeaks.com/uncategor...gerous-stupid/

What pisses me off are people like him spreading false lies and rumors that are not true.

Also I do not see how its possible anyone could break their arm while doing the snatch and I do not see how swings could be bad for your lower back? I mean this is just insanity if anyone honestly thinks the swing and snatch are bad for you to do if anything the swing works your lower back in a safe way that it can be worked and the snatch is in my opinion a good way to get a total body workout in a good summed up way. Ugh I hate fearmongers

Personally I chuckled at his line "what Royally pisses me off is the KB swing". When I first came across KBs I thought the swing looks a silly movement..and I still do. It is only when you do it do you realise just what a killer it is.

He justs wants a reaction as KBs are getting mainstream....I'd see his post as more about him and his job rather than KB training. Journos write stuff to get reaction...that's their job...get a profile and all that.

There's always someone with a tale of woe...like the chap with the broken arm....that sounds like some other problem to me.

Anyone who says the combination of a deadlift and a front raise is a beneficial exercise has no credibility. That is all.

You will get all sorts of people in this world. This is not fitness or KB related, its just bad attitude and attention seeking related.

The Swing is a goofy looking drill, my wife watches with a grin when I do it. However, she isn't complaining about the toning I'm getting in my lower body either. This guy should try it for about 12 weeks and then give his thoughts. Then they'll have more weight.

There's really no point in even addressing this dumb ass.

This is over two years old; been discussed before. He obviously didn't receive any instruction by an RKC or really read ETK. Hurt himself and decided to dump on KBs.

The other guy, John, who also wrote of his broken arm fiasco in an Amazon review of ETK, was also a beginner that probably over-gripped his 24kg bell and smashed his delicate forearm. Again, no proper instruction - injury - let's trash KB training.

    Yep, he's a peach.

Let's not get too excited over his misinformation. He runs on and on about how he just knows this is a terrible exercise method, but where are his qualifications? He used to run, which he apparently considered safe, yet I sprained more ankles when I would run than back injuries suffered from kettlebells. Sprained ankles from running-at least ten in as many years; back injuries or broken arms from swings/snatches-zero. I'm betting my qualifications are even better than his as I've at least done both.

Never mind that he has never tried to train with a kettlebell despite the number of qualified RKCs in CA, apparently he chooses to train in a gym where the trainers are moronic individuals who, according to Frank, don't know Shinola from feces. Your choice, Frank, but someone as smart as you think you are might want to find a place to train where the trainers know more than you. Or better yet, since you;re so smart in this area, maybe go into the business for yourself.

Checking out his blog page, he hasn't posted anything since 2010, nearly two full years ago. Kettlebells are still going strong here.

    And the winner is?

After being a member of this forum for numerous years, I'm betting Pavel won't say a word here on this. He knows when he's about to enter into a battle of wits with an unarmed man.
