    Default PTTP deadlift advanced programming?

    Comrades,

First I would like to thank pavel for his wonderful material and leading me into finding what I think is my passion, powerlifting.

This week I finish smolov (planning on squatting something around 200kg @ 78, wearing belt + knee wraps), so I have been 3 months without deadlifts.

I am looking foward to do Power to the People again, for deadlifts, because it is the routine I made more gains overall I think (from 70 to 185 at deadlift in 4 months, and started squatting 100kg++ inmediatately afer learning movement) and I'm kinda tired of squatting/high volume work.

I was wondering if anyone has any experience on doing PTTP once you are close to the 3x body weight deadlift and how to program my traning, given I assume you can't break personal records every week.

My max pull was 210 on early december, wearing a belt; age 21 in case its any use.

Looking foward to anything from 5 to 12 weeks.

In advanced thanks, and I'm sorry for the long post and maybe some grammar mistakes.

You have a few choices for programming. The best one for you is going to be "Power To The People Professional," IMHO. Pick up a copy, then pick from the many excellent routines contained therein and come back here with any questions.

I do own PTTP pro, but there is no deadlift routine outlied there that involves pulling 5x a week/low volume as regular PTTP. That's why I ask here.

Well, no, because that routine would be PttP. I believe Steve is just giving you more options as to what you can do for your deadlift as PttP Pro is specifically written for competitive powerlifters. Whether PttP will work, I can't say for certain. I suspect it will, but I'm still short of triple bodyweight myself so I can't speak from experience.
