Default My dad's DL rep PR

Comrades, my father decided not to compete until fall. Meanwhile, we are focusing on building up his rep records: 5, 3, 2. Today he pulled 365x5—and had another rep in the bank. The most he had done with this weight in the past was a double. The biggest five he had pulled in the past was 340. Four wheels should be easy this fall.

This was his second time through the Surovetsky DL cycle (see PTP Pro, http://www.dragondoor.com/shop-by-department/books/b51/).

Congratulations to your dad. I hope to be able to deadlift such poundage for reps one of these days. He is an inspiration.

Two questions Pavel, why did you put your dad on the Surovetsky DL protocol specifically, and also, am I right to assume your dad's training approach is Quadrant 4?

All the best to your dad with his training. Great stuff.
You might be armed but you're not dangerous...

Thank you for your words, Comrades!

He is 75 and I would put him into Q3.
