Default DB Snatch to BB Snatch Ratio

    Comrades,

i recently joined a O-Lifting club in my town. It goes way back to 1903 and it's just great.

Today, after my real training was over, i tried some DB Snatches and got 40kg for 1 with my right arm and missed with my left. They got DBs up to 45kg there.
As one of my goals is to Barbell Snatch my bodyweight of 85kg, i wonder if working up to a DB Snatch of 45x1 per am would help me achiev this. I just started barbell snatching and never went over 55kg until now, mostly because of lack of confidence i think.

So, should i invest some energy to get a db snatch of 45kg or should i focus all energy on the barbell snatch training?

Dumbbell snatching has absolutely no carryover to barbell snatching for me. I never competed in Olympic weightlifting - but did them occasionally in some odd lift meets. My dumbbell snatch went up 20lbs during one two month training period years back and my barbell snatch went up exactly zero.
