Default Free Standing Pull Up Bar

I wondered if you guys had a recommendation for a free standing pull up bar? How to build one or which one to purchase? I would like to take it outside also.

    Many Thanks!

Al Kavadlo has a nice series of posts on building one. This is the first one:

http://trapezerigging.com/ is worth a look as well. I have one, and am very happy with it for what it is.

Thank you all for the responses! Have you tried muscle ups on the trapezerigging?

I have one and if you plan on doing muscle ups on it I would recommend you get the optional stabilizer cross-bar. The unit is certainly strong and solid enough for muscle ups but I have found that the feet will walk a little bit left or right with vigorous movements. By left or right I mean the feet will move out of parallel.

I myself have not, but a friend of mine did them on my bar. I believe there's also a video on their site of someone doing them. Worked fine, as rwrjr points out, the additional bar helps a lot, and after several you might need to adjust the feet slightly (or anchor them more in the first place). I would imagine the less kipping you do for your muscle up, the less of an issue this will be.

I have the Trapeze Rigging Elite bar, comes with the cross bar and have manged a muscle up or two in it. The whole thing moves a bit if not really smooth, but a sandbag or two will hold it in place. Not necessary for pullups.
