    Default RoP Question

I'm ready to move up to the 20 kg on my presses but I am still not feeling comfortable pulling with the 20 kg. Would it be okay to still pull the 16 kg but press the 20 kg? Have any of you guys done the RoP pulling and pressing two different size bells? Many thanks!

So after asking this question and wondering for a long time I've gotten the answer from many different sources to include just simple reasoning on my part.
The goals of the ROP are to press half your body weight and pass the usssst with a 24 kg bell. Which is hardly 1/2 the body weight of most men. So at some point you will have to move past doing the pulls and presses with the same weight. Now it is perfect acceptable to swing heavy, many people have amazing results from it.
But I'm guessing you ment you don't feel you ready to snatch the 20kg. Please correct me if in wrong. And that's ok, if your up to it maybe do your presses and swings with the 20kg and snatches with the 16kg.
    That's just my 2 cents.

I use a whole plethora of different bells for my pulls, anything from 16kg up to 40kg, sometimes in the same session if I'm running the bells. Although I do tend to mainly use the 24kg and the 32kg as my go to bells. The 36kg and 40kg I swing two handed, the rest one handed, I don't ever use doubles.

So I basically focus towards one sub goal and go through a period of emphasising that which will define which bell I use.

For snatches I only just use the 24kg. It took an awful long time for me to feel comfortable using the 24kg for snatches.

Many thanks. I did my first heavy day today. I will be snatching the 16 kg and swinging the 20 kg.
