    Default CC: First 100 days.

    Hey all,
I know that usually you wait for about 6 months to talk about first results but mine are less about strength results but much more about health benefits. I have been looking for a wholistic system for a long time and thought it was perfect to start with CC with my arrival for my 3,5 month stay in Nepal.

I managed to workout on 41 days out of 100. I know itīs not that great, but regeneration is difficult there. I was sick a lot, stomach troubles, food poisoning... the food isnīt as nutritious and sleep is a nightmare haha

So I am still dwelling around Step 1 on most. Now, I do believe that I have become weaker. I canīt whoop out 10 pullups now because I promised myself to build myself ground up. But I gained 4 pounds of muscle.... my whole body feels like a much better functioning unit. I have been able to remove weird strains in my hands thanks to the eagleclaw fisting and fingertip pushups and bar hanging. I donīt need to do specific shoulder stretches anymore to make sure they are allright.

Basically I just feel like a wild animal. Muscle definition is happening fast, the vertical pullups have shown where I had real weakness (around the biceps attachment point and the arm junction). Itīs simply fantastic and I canīt wait to share some result picture in a few more months where I will have hopefully progressed to step 2 on most.

    Thank you!
But is it normal to become weaker at first? Where does this overall sensation of beasthood come from? I mean I really enjoy the gradual process because I carry a lot of disbalances in my body from previous things I did. Plus as a med student, I want to be able to suggest an easy to start, quickly benefiting training regime so I thought itīs better to go through all the stages.

Sounds like the third world conditions you are living under now are a bit more primitive then when you lived in more modern conditions such as in Europe or the USA. Nietzsche said that "what doesn't kill makes you stronger"..hehe! ... You indicated you had been doing other strength training methods such as lifting or other rigourous BW programs in the past, then when reverting to Step 1 CC drills will initially make you feel weaker in so far as how many pullup reps etc..you can perform. This is a natural process. What is happening is that you are building a new foundation for strength that is within your joints connective tissues. PW said that real strength resides within the joints. So yes you will feel weaker, but this program in order to work requires alot of patience. The down fall for some is that they think SHORT TERM. They want immediate results. That may or may not happen - but you have to have the mindset for long term commitment even if you do not see immediate results. Face it 2-3 weeks (or even 1 month) of wall push ups sounds boring - but milking that step for all that it can give you will build a much stronger strength foundation as opposed to just starting out at step 5 and seeing how far you can go - and then crash and burn around step 8. The fact that you gained 4lbs of muscle in 100 days under those conditions is remarkable. I would make a joke about not drinking the water - but you allready covered that..hehe!!..Dennis

Interesting post...I'm tempted to say that nobody on CC should get weaker over such a long period, but...

...sounds like you are REALLY taking the milking strength concept seriously. And after all, if someone starts training and a hundred days later:

    -feels great
    -has less bodyfat
    -has more muscle
    -has less pain

Then how is that a fail? Especially when most people I know after 3 months training hurt more and are actually fatter!

Besides, by the time you reach step 4 or so, you will be incredibly powerful if you keep the same speeds--with all the same benefits.

Keep up the great work. Photo please!
