Default Opinions On Wolverson Bells Please?

    Hi Everyone,

My apologies if I'm stepping on any toes with this thread; I am of the opinion that Dragon Door kettlebells are the best available in terms of quality, and I do stick to using them whenever possible (bought a 12kg for the wife a few months ago in fact).

Anyway, I'm a bit strapped for cash at the moment, and the Wolverson bells are considerably cheaper than the DD ones. So if anyone on here has used them, could you please give me your thoughts on the usability of them? My main issue with the other brands I've tried is that the handle is too long (sometimes just by a couple of inches), so that the weight of the bell rests right in the centre of my forearm, which is quite painful and uncomfortable (and makes my arm feel a bit vulnerable). Either that, or the handle is too short to allow the bell to swivel around the hand nicely (like the Adidas bells, for instance).

So how have you found the Wolverson bells to be? Generally comfortable? Or should I just save up for a DD bell? (This wouldn't be ideal, since it would limit my kettlebell collection rather more than I would like).

Oh, and I'm sorry if this wasn't clear, but I'm the UK...

    Thanks,
    Nathan

    Hi,
I've got a few pairs of their competition kettlebells, all of which are the same size despite weight differences.

I like them, they seem pretty durable. I've never noticed them being uncomfortable, the handle seems fine to me.

Hi Simon, thanks very much for the info, it's very useful!

I'm looking specifically at the regular kettlebells though (not the competition bells, the regular / "military" type bells). Has anyone used any of these please?
