I'm hesitant to contact the FMS people and see who they deal with, because I'm almost certain it's just going to be another doctor who won't try to help.
While your frustration is understandable, you have to be willing to step back, reassess and move forward again. Most FMS are associated with top notch medical groups. i only refer to the best that I can find. They also understand what FMS is used for and what it reveals. I have several SFMA's that i am able to refer to in the area.

Start with being screened. could a lack of mobility and stability be part of your issue? If there is no pain during the FMS, you will not be referred out and maybe can start moving better. If not, at least you have a standard test to move forward from.

In my own life, I am recovering from a back injury that occurred a year ago. If not for FMS, RKC and Primal Move, I would still be in pain with no improvement. the injury started out as a lack of ankle mobility...

Attitude, attitude, attitude!!..You are not "done" until you are dead and buried. Try doing light body weight training progressions like CC for damage repair and to build up your confidense. I believe your confidense as well as your body have taken a beating. Start with a completely clean slate. Forget about your training in the past. Ditch the weights for now. You need to rebuild and renew yourself in a way that has you getting stronger without injury. Your training sessions should be easy and short for now. Don't push hard. Explore where your limits are. ..Dennis
I've thought the same things. I pay attention to football, and was amazed that Adrian Peterson was able to recover from ACL surgery in 9 months and be the best running back in the league. That only makes it more frustrating. If he can do that, why can't I fix a much less catastrophic problem? It should be pretty quick and easy compared to that, but no one is willing to stick with me to figure anything out.

I'm pretty much only doing upper body stuff with weights. I jump rope, sprint, play flag football for legs, but those all feel terrible too.

I can't even to bodyweight squats without discomfort, though I still do them. And all the things I listed above feel lousy, but I can't stop living my life.

Going easy has never helped at all.

I've gone the FMS route and after more than a year of work I was told my movement was improved and everything was better. However I felt no actual improvement. 0%. Basically, I think I can fake it. I can force my body to move in what may appear to be a normal way, but that is not normal for me.

Brad, I have loosely followed Pete Egoscues work for about 6 years, he's had some success working with dysfunctions. On a side note, anyone willing to offer you a diagnosis online, especially from the little information you have provided, is not helping you. Either a, they have so little understanding of joint and muscle testing, various diseases that attack the joint structures, and human phisiology that their uneducated opinion means nothing; or b, they are offering you a broad catchall that covers so much that it means nothing. AWAK, i'm sure you're intention was to help a young man by pointing him in the direction of someone who helped you. I hope I haven't offended you.

I will likely get through the screen with little to no pain. Pain is not my problem.

Brad, I was responding to Awaks diagnosis and recommedations (The posts for which he deleted). I am not recommending him or his affiliates (he has several books out on diagnosing yourself and correcting basic asymmetries if you wanted a overview of him). Personally I am a strong proponent of physical therapy, which according to your posts has not helped you (which is why I said nothing on this thread, saving for recommending you don't listen to online diagnosis from unqualified people.
