    Default Human Flag!

I tried a human flag the other day on a whim, and I pulled almost all the way up (80-85°) a few times.

Today I tried again, just for kicks, and I pulled right up. I can only hold it for 2-3 seconds, but I was shocked at how much easier it was than I imagined. (Like the time I planned an progressive routine to work up to a front lever, only to find out I could already do one).

Anyway, sorry to post about nothing, but I was kind of excited and I will definitely be working on these this winter.

Congratulations! Where do you work these in the winter? I'm looking for ideas- I worked up to a clutch flag over the summer and my practice has been lacking now that the rains have rolled back into the Pacific NW. (Maybe you live somewhere a bit drier, or I should get my grip in better shape for the wet playground!)

    Thanks!

I tried it out in a sturdy door frame and it worked great, it has to be pretty sturdy though. One thing I have been thinking of doing is higher volume, with my press arm vertical on the floor below me and my pull arm on the doorway (its much easier this way, and will allow me to spend a lot more time working at it). Hope you find an indoor location that works (you could always join a planet fitness or other box gym for $10 a month during the winter and use their squat rack, that is if you have one by you).

Well done! I've got a ways to go in CC before I'll get to these.

I'm jealous. I've had to work hard and I can do a flag for about 2 seconds or so as well. Still haven't got my front lever. I'm curious how tall and how much do you weigh?

Thanks Logan, I'm 5'11, 168lbs. Combine my lighter weight with gtg one arm pull ups 5-6 years ago, and this makes more sense. I've seen your videos, you're an inspiration.
