Default Question about doing NW during a sport?

I was before going to attempt one last PTP cycle before track season starts, but I know I wont be able to finish it on time. So my question, is it ok to follow a NW routine, with only OA pushups and pistols, during track and field season. Im currently a sophmore in High School. I'm a mid distance/sprinter (400m, 800m). Our coach is talking about doing a weight lifting routine before track competition starts. Would following NW routine be couterproductive, and hurt my performance, or would it help. I plan on doing the NW in the beginning three times a week, and then trying it 5-6 days a week. Should I just follow my coaches routine, or can I add in NW? I also have a 1 pood kettlebell, I probably wont use it during track season, but would adding in snatches be any help, or would that be overtraining. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks.

I think the NW routine would be good for your strength, but i would definately include the 1pood kbell snatches to keep your flexibility and speed. Even if it is light go for the higher reps should help with your fitness too.
