    Default Coach Davies, good article...

Coach, excellent article in T-mag yesterday on rope work. I really hit the ropes hard last winter (it is hard to run in snow and dangerous). I remember going into a grappling tournament in March and I had a really good fight. Unfortunately he beat me in the last 30 seconds of the fight but afterwards he commented that on our feet he couldn't beleive how fast I was and it almost over whelmed him. Too bad I didn't know that at the start of the fight. Long live rope work and renegade training (I now have fresh ideas for rope work).

Default Ah yes, snow and slush! My favorite time of winter!

I was in a fight for my life a few short years ago.
In the process of carrying out a heavy box of junk to the garbage, when I stepped out of the house, down 6 steps and turned left towards the garage where the garbage can was. WELL, I had this stupid box in both arms, and I slipped on ice, went down on both knees, HARD into the concrete sidewalk BOOM!!! I didn't let go of the stupid box. Wonderously though, I did not hurt my knees or whiplash my back! I was okay! I just wish I had done rope work before then!!!

    Default Great Artice Coach Davies!

It is fascinating to watch an accomplished rope jumper. Do you have any suggestions on reducing strain on the knees while jumping? Thank you for your positive contributions to this forum!

    Brad
