Default Pavel, curious about russian soldiers ???

Pavel, I understand you used to serve in the Russian (or soviet ?) army training spetsnat soldiers ? Here in the canadian army (specifically the infantry) we do alot of running, forced marching (ruck sacks), some circuit training and the odd time you do some swimming. It also varies from unit to unit and wether or not you are on course. Example was during my infantry battle school (basic infantry course) we added sand bags to our rucks, did PT every morning in garrison and we had lots of extra "motivational" PT. I am sure you can figure out what that means. Can you describe some of the PT you guys did in the russian/soviet army ?

Com. Rick, a lot of what you described plus kettlebells, more sophisticated calistenics such as one legged SQs and partner drills. Ropes. Try to get the Jan/Feb 2002 issue of Muscle Media (out in a month or two)
