Default Anyone know how to make there own Rings? ....

I did read somewhere that you can put pvc pipe in the oven for a period of time at a certain temp. and when you take it out you can bend it , and when it cools down, it stays.....anyone have a link?

    Thanks.....Paul

Check out Shen and Gruntbran's website, this page has PVC handles which ara close substitute for rings.

THe technique of filling up the PVC pipe with sand an heating it up was discussed in a thread over at the Crossfit forum a year or two ago.http://www.angelfire.com/ny5/shenandoah/Grunt/Bodyweight.html

its not letting me find your page

MC master carr has O rings made from hard rubber that look they might fit the bill, 5 for 13.44. they only have a 1/4 inch diameter, but i'm thinking two of those and some duct tape might save some serious money.

    try this:

Ignore the shipping costs, that was for another item I previously sold.

    Default My homemade rings

You can see them in the picture below (on the left), I came across some bent pipes (industrial door-handles I think) so I just put a thin rope thru the pipes and tied the end to the rope, then taped it all up.

They have worked well for quite some time but they're really uncomfortable and a hazzle to set up Girya.se
