After finishing 80 sets of 8 with the 16kg, and sticking with it for a bit, I decided to venture into the land of the 'heavier'.
It's been an eye opener. The rate of progress is there, it just isn't as fast as the 12kg or the 16kg was. It may be that with the 20kg, I'm riding closer to my limit and progress is going to take a slower path.
Just glad there's progress!
This will be the 6th week of VWC (about to head into a recovery week) and I am looking forward
Just 6 weeks back into using the protocol (after a few months break trying other systems) and I PR on the shoulder press. My body weight hasn't changed a bit so it's really interesting understanding that this strength is not a change in size, but a change in skill.
It's not a huge weight, but for me, trying to get anything to trend up with the overhead press has been close to joke-worthy.
145 lbs in the air!
And in other news, my deadlift is coming back up.
