ETK and AOS PM 4th Month!!

by GuyVDL on 05-01-2011 at 07:33 AM
Well the 4th month is in and I've completed the PM with the 16kg. I'm 6'1" at 185lb (skinny as a rail) and have lost 20lbs. Shoulders are up 2.5" at 46.5", arms not flexed are up 1.5" at 13", my stomach is down 3" at 39" (still a ways to go!), hips are down 2" at 39" and my thighs are up 3" (wow kettlebells rock) now at 24". Feeling great and eating much better, stronger and can't wait to do more. It's so hard not to overtrain and go at it

ETK and AOS Workbook - Month 3

by GuyVDL on 04-12-2011 at 04:43 PM
[INDENT]This is the end of month 3 and this 52 year old who has done nothing for over 30 years is just loving kettlebells and the PM. So it's taking me what seems a very long time to get any cardio and any strength built up but after 3 months I happy to say I've made it to week 4 of the PM and I'm actually doing swing sets of 60 for a total of 300 in 12 minutes. I know it's not a manly weight as I started with 12kg but when I started I could barely get 60 reps in 12 minutes. So progress is progress.

ETK and AOS workbook progression - Month 2

by GuyVDL on 02-27-2011 at 05:02 AM
Well after 30 years on the couch here we are at the end of month 2 in the program. For all of February I stuck with week 2 of the program as at the end of 12 minutes with 30 swings my heart was over my max. This week I did 35 swings per set and it felt pretty good so I'm moving on to week 3 of the program in March. Not sure yet if I'll get to week 4 in the same month but we will see, I'm building slowly since I'm really starting with no strength at all to speak of. Stretching is also coming

ETK and AOS workbook progression

by GuyVDL on 02-01-2011 at 07:06 AM
I posted this yesterday to the forum but I will keep a record of my progress here. I can't say enough about how I see Kettlebells as an all body workout and my thanks to Pavel.

As a 52 year old who has sat on the couch for 30+ years and developed an overly large gut and absolutely no strength with no flexibility I decided it was time to do something good for me and my health. It was sorely needed. First I want to thank Tim Ferriss and his book the 4 Hour Body for turning me on to
