Warmed up with protyazhka combo, for 5 reps, then 135 and 225. Work sets were hell almost immediately. Took very long 10-min break after set 7 and carried on well. Bar stayed mostly in place and I think I've learned to put the bar where it wants to be. This is very different from week one where I kept trying to keep it at the bottom of my traps and it kept trying to go to the bottom of my pos. delt.

Form was mostly good, but halfway through sets I tend to have to "hike" the bar up a little as I ascend to get it back into a solid position. Felt more solid into the long session than I ever have, though. Losing the bounce at the bottom as I'm just racing fatigue and started feeling the effects of mild overtraining yesterday.

Warmed up with straight-legged snatch/ bnh press/ oh squat combo for three reps, then 135 and 225.

Could not sleep at all so I went for a quick push/pull session. A little dangerous in the middle of the last week of Smolov to be going for 90% pulls, but they felt quick and easy. The last one with 405 was slowing down so I stopped with that one and hit DBR which felt heavy after all that pulling. Bench was great and finally got 210 in a series, though I had to increase the increments

Amazed that these were so easy. First two sets I did them way too quickly and got out of breath. I was up and down like a piston and wasn't setting my breath right at the top because these simply weren't heavy enough to force me to brace. Kept bar very low and that certainly helped. Felt everything in glutes, "upper" hams and adductors. Last two sets were done with a slight pause at top for breath and they felt almost too easy.
