    I wouldn't be surprised if you also notice some soreness, stiffness after waking if sleeping on your side. A good PT could provide some insight as Bois suggests, but don't be surprised if you're referred to an ortho for investigation into bone spurs.

    Thanks for the input. It seems that there are 3 possibilities: 1. Bone spur, 2. Torn rotor cuff 3. Tendonitis. I guess a 4th would be pulled muscle/tendon from overdoing the swings,high pulls and snatches.
    Hopefully its just an overuse type injury and rest will solve the problem. In the meantime...I guess it's gonna be a lot of sprinting/intervals to keep fit...bummer.
