I have done a full week on this Eat-Stop-Eat method. I did 3 fasts. The first one was surprisingly easy. I do them from 6:30PM-6:30PM. Leaving my weekend free for going out and eating with others. I have continued working out with my Turbulence Training Bodyweight Workout 3X per week. I have not been weak at all. I have lost 7lbs and 5 inches. I have always had trouble keeping my calories in check even while working out which slows my progress. I must admit on my fasting days I feel way better than on my eating days. My appetite has seriously decreased so eating completely healthy is satisfying, smaller portions now fill me up. When eating with others I’m filled so fast. This is a total god send for me. It is working like a dream so far. I do not feel deprive whatsoever and the fasting is shockingly easy…for me anyway and the times I have picked to do it. I do find myself highly alert…and so calm. A++++++

OK....so it's been 5 weeks and 1 day on eat-stop-eat. I have lost 22lbs. I'm frigging over the moon. I have NEVER been successful at any plan or method in my life. I'm more than stoked. No cravings....seriously...none. I feel strong...my core feels super strong. My back troubles have disappeared.....I have energy to burn. I am a happy woman.

I lost the first 20 lbs and then I was at a stand still. I'm thinking being on the same workout regime about a month was no longer tricking my body...or shocking my body....my body was adapting. So I went back to something I had been researching and after putting it into play for one day.....the plateau was over. That program was Craig Ballantyne's Turbulence Training using my body weight...no weights. I was working out 5 days a week.....doing 1/2 hr-45 min of cario intervals......and low weights high reps 3 times a week....sometimes even more cardio added to that. Plus I was out walking. TT frowns on cardio unless it's intervals and no more than 20 min and only three times a week after your TT muscle work. It was hard on me to eliminate the 5 days of working out especially when it has been what we have been told we need do to get in shape. Now I'm only doing 45 min 3 times a week. But the tape measure and scale are loving it...so I won't complain one bit.

Just thought I better update.....can you tell I'm so exstatic it's crazy???????

I was thinking of combining ESE and the WD where I'd have a 4-5 hour window everyday tp eat and fast the rest of the time and just eat normally on my weekends.

With ESE you can't fast more than one day in a row. So that you are eating everyday. Never going a day without food. I'm doing it every other day because I want my weight gone. But once the weight is gone I will do it twice a week for maintenance. It has taken care of all cravings for me. Doing it every other day is not hard for me. My stomach has shrunk and I'm full really fast. My portions are normal for the first time in my life. I can also make better food choices because the cravings are gone. BUT if I go out for a night with friends or my sweetie......I eat what I like. Have a glass or two of wine. So I do not feel deprived whatsoever. This does not rule my life. Now I have cut back on the workouts I was doing to 45 min 3 times a week. It is fabulous. I can not rave enough about TT and ESE......they have transformed my life....and will continue to do so.

Sometimes I think we can really breakthrough some of the teaching we have taken as science. Somebody is always going to come along with a better more efficient way to fine tune these bodies. Also just because it works for me, somebody else might hate it. I am just going to rave about what works for me. We are all just trying to do the very best we can. We just want happy healthy long lives. This is a good goal.

By the way you can see lots of youtube videos by both ESE's Brad Pilon and TT's Craig Ballantyne so check them out for yourselves. Good luck whatever you choose to help you along the way.

I will be eating everyday--during my 5 hour window of eating.

I am so pleased to read such a positive post again. Thank you for keeping 'us' updated. Particularly well done on not letting the initial enthusiasm you showed fall off. It really seems that it is working for you.

My girl is about to commit to giving ESE a go and i hope she will have as many positive things to say once she does.

It really is a relief to have something so simple to work with. I love being able to eat primal which i find relatively easy and the flexibility to go out with 'friends' in a beer garden in Munich and not worry about the effect of day 'on it'. I just bookend the heavy day with fasts and come out the other side unscathed. Can't ask for more than that

Good luck knobby. This has to be the ridiculously easiest thing I have ever done. For myself the easier the better.

One thing I do to stay regular because I have always been a constipated individual I use psyllium husk daily. I mix it up in juice or crystal light about 15 min before my meals and suck it back followed by a full glass of water. You tend to be pretty full before you even eat and it really keeps things flowing. I use 5-6 tablespoons per day. I worked up slowly to that amount to avoid unhappy gas pains. Each tbs has approx 5g of fiber. I eat a higher amount of protein so staying regular is paramount for me.

Another important thing is making sure to drink water...lots of it especially on your fast day. Just some things that have helped me. I would also say I feel the strongest and the most energized on the days I don't eat. Would lead me to believe food saps a lot of our energy for digestion so being always in the fed state must be so hard on us.....but I'm not a doctor so I'm just guessing. We all know our bodies better than anyone and when we feel good we really take notice. My Aunt is doing ESE and is losing a steady 2 lbs per week......she only has 10lbs to lose so she is happy. She is 53 and enjoys all the energy she has after work...she used to be spent....but now has energy in the evening to do things she was not doing because of being exhausted.

So I look forward to how you and chiggers girlfriend do on the ESE method. I will keep you guys updated as well. Have a great weekend all! If you all have any tips I'd be grateful to hear them.

Kim

I've been doing ESE for about a month and I have lost about 5 pounds. Wht I like about it is it's very very easy to work around my shift work--I don't have to bring in any 'special' food and there's NO prep at all. On my fast days I fast during my working hours so I can eat with my family.

I'm looking forward to ramping it up with a 5 hour eating window everyday and fasting the rest of the time. I've scaled back my running and ramped up the kettlebells and I'm starting to see good results.

Like Kim said--this really kills the cravings.

Good luck Kim.

I have been really lazy the last month with my food choices but have still fasted 2x per week. Have been working out at least 4x per week with 2 VWC sessions. I have actually lost 2 more pounds and my diet has been TERRIBLE. Love ESE!!!
