I had thought that too about combining WD style eating with this, but getting my protein and calories in during the eating phase...

Another thought I had, since the Growth hormone release during the fasting stage would doing your bear type deads on those days pack a better punch as far as GH?
and then after 6 pm when fasting is over getting your cals and protein in then?

Just curious....
I have been on it for a week and I really think during the under eating phase I do feel more alert and tighter, it is a great feeling..

Just tried my first true 24 hour water fast last Saturday. Last few hours were brutal. Worked out that day, PTTP deadlifts with fighter pullups and some core work, and it wasn't too bad. Will try it again this weekend.

Been on the Warrior Diet for a while, and seemed to stall in my leanness quest. Hope this does the trick, but I can't see myself fasting for more than one day per week. This weekend I will do my fast on an off day.

You're a brave man, RezH. I don't quite have the nerve yet to workout on fast days. I'm on my second fast right now and already, it seems easier than the first (but who knows how I'll feel for the last few hours... I've got about 6 more to go). My general impression is that, over time, the 24 hour fast period gets to be routine and isn't really a challenge at all. In fact, people seem to look forward to it. Once it becomes routine for me, I'll feel more comfortable adding in workouts on those days.

I've read quite a few comments on another site from people who actually prefer working out on fast days (even doing really intense workouts) and claim to have seen gains in both muscle strength and leanness. I hope you'll stop back from time to time and update us with your results.

Second go round was much better. Didn't really feel hungry although I was definitely ready to break the fast. Helps when you sleep in.

I'll give this a go for the next few weeks. Like I said before I've been on the Warrior Diet for a while, and have dropped a fair amount of body fat, but hopefully not that much muscle, although I do feel smaller. Been maintaining 160-162 lb for a while on a 1500-2000 calorie per day diet (very seldom 2000). I do cheat a bit Friday night and Saturday. Nothing huge, maybe a little pizza or Chinese food.

I do not want to have to add a second fast day per week. Logistically and mentally it would be difficult. But I want that sub 10% BF. I still have some fat at the bottom of my abdomen which I guess at age 38 is tough to eliminate.
