wow to have two of you mention Dr Mauro Di Pasquale, my intuition perked up, and i thought okay i will check it out.. Not much on Amazon about him, but found his website so sent away for his beginner Radical Diet pkgs and the Metabolic Diet book as well to start there. Am amazed at the complex cocktails of his supplements, as i have experimented on my own, but this doc has been researching all this stuff for like 40 years!? My experiments with supplements come close, but his are simply amazing..I read the labels and i think oh of course why didn't i think of that?
So.. (yes i have over 100 lbs to lose, and just recovering from knee injury, so been pretty pancaked out, waaah). Will see how this goes! thanks very much

Thought I would just do a quick update. I am now at 290 lbs, I havn't lost a pound for over a week, in fact I put a couple back on. I am doing 100-150 swings a day, as well as snatches (40-60) and 15-20 min of TGU. I also usually throw in some double MP and some double FP, I practice my kbs about 30-45 min a day. I am stumped. I have however continued to shrink in size, My thought is I am constantly building muscle and thats why the weight isn't coming off too quick. I have been eating fairly clean ( got messed up by a couple family dinners and eating out) I have been avoiding sugar like the plague and also stopped drinking alchohol. I am going to eat extra clean this week and see what happens. Has anyone else experienced not losing but still shrinking? I wonder if it's actually more common than I think. Thanks for all the replies!

Still shrinking
I am in the same boat as you, I started in January at 319 lbs, got fed up and Started eating clean and walking a lot, A coworker introduced me to kettlebells and I was hooked. I workout 5 days a week, bells, biking and walking, eat six small meals a day lots of veggies and protein, nuts and seeds. Waist size has gone from a 46 to 38 and have not lost a pound in 2 months. I love shrinking and want to keep it going. Dont give up!!

I have lost a whole lot of weight. Just been eating 6-7 SMALL meals a day. Mostly lean protien to start. After a couple of months I started adding fruits, nuts and veggies. still don't have much bread. I do like blue corn tortillas a couple times a week. No carbonated drinks at all. No packaged foods. Plenty of water.

I started my transformation in June 2009 and have been quite pleased so far!
I use the RoP KB program and also add in a couple of 30 mins x-trainer sessions too.
I follow the WD for 4 weeks then have a complete week off and eat regularly through the day, although i still eat clean during this phase. I do this for two reasons;
1) to replenish my body completely and ensure i take on any missed nutrients as i never use any vitamin supplements, and
2) to stop any mental feelings of never eating....this may sound strange but it works for me?
I was 16s 4lb when i started and am now down to 15s 1lb. I have also noticed extra muscle and strengh so am not too fussed about my weight as i can see my body changing

Go with whatever diet helps you:
1. Lose fat
2. Build lean muscle
3. Be healthy
4. Feel better
I like the Metabolic diet; it works for me.
It is not, in fact, not so much a low carb diet, but more of a minimal carb diet. Marathon runners may need large amounts of carbs, while Mr. computer programmer needs very few. The book is a good read.

I am responding to this several days after the fact, but hopefully my thoughts can still be germane.
In my experience, diet is king. Diet leads to fat loss, exercise leads to muscle gain. Therefore, eating "fairly clean" is not going to get it done--again, at least in my body. Think of it this way, you can bust your ass manipulating a kettlebell for an hour burning, what, one or two hundred calories. But if you eat one Hostess fruit pie, you gain 400 kcals.
So here is my recommendation: chill out for a while. Obviously you are not in a caloric-deficit situation. If you were, you would lose weight. But look at what you are doing. You are eating better and exercising, dropping sugar, stopping the alcohol and soda pop. You have made some hard ass choices. Therefore give yourself a ton of credit. Maintain what you are doing and once it becomes second-nature, then restrict the diet a little more and get into a calorie deficit. If you do not do it slowly, at some point you will scream "screw all this stuff" and backslide out of frustration.
Once again, all this is based on my experience. I was eating really good with isolated bad meals. But those bad meals were bad enough to keep my calories at maintenence level. It was not until I went perfect in my eating that I started to lose weight.

You're doing great!
I think we may have missed the obvious here. I know you asked a very specific question but I don't think you need any diet ...yet.
If you have dropped 15lbs in 3 week then that is more than enough. I would just continue with the KB's.
When the weight stops coming down and you are still busting out the reps, that's when you need to change your nutrition.
All the diets you will see on here are variations on a theme "Eat less"
You find very few Pro Body Builders on a named diet. They just eat clean, increase their calories to bulk up and decrease calories to cut up.
Stick to unprocessed foods, stay away from sugar and you should kick through the plateau, if it comes.
Superb results with superb effort - well done!
